Its Monday! It’s time to wake up and seize the day! I was always taught to do things with everything in you, however, never forgetting to always reach back, and stay humble. And that word humble, I believe-based on my interpretation, has hindered me from thriving. Please let me be clear, I thought that being humble meant to sit in the background, and make others look good in front of the “camera,” or any aspect of business that I have been in. And that has been fine for the most part, however more recently I have found that I assumed that meant putting others before me and allowing them shine. (the sound of brakes screeching skkkkkrrrrtttttttt!!!!!) I was doing this all wrong! I wasn't seizing the Monday! So what did I do to change that:
1. Be Bolder: Sit back and think about something you’ve being skating around on doing, and then do it. I am a planner regularly, and would prefer to stick to a schedule if I could, however, I already know that this only gives mean outline to my day. When will you be fearless? When will you let go and allow yourself to step out on faith and Just do it (like Nike, right)
2. Say “Yes”: I don’t mean say yes to everything. I mean say “yes” to what’s important. Have you figured that out yet? If you haven’t you probably should it’s essential to you and your growth!
3. Be a Go-Giver: Never forget about others, however, don’t forget about the part you played in the story. Never forget that in the hustle of you getting to where you working on getting to your summit; there are others that you have to support along the way. You have heard their goals and aspirations and you have an obligations to support and help them get to where they need and want to be.
4. Be Courageous: While the lion in “The Wiz” and “The Wizard of OZ” didn’t find his courage until the end, you have that courage right now. You have decided to be fearless and be a go-getter in helping others. While we all have at least one fear, “courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.” Did you fill out that application for that new job or position. Did you ask that young lady out on a coffee date that you keep seeing in the coffee shop? Did you finally finish your paperwork for starting your own business? Well, DO IT!
It’s time to MonSlay the day, It’s time! Time to be Bold show yourself not that world that you are more than what they think you are, and fear is merely noun that will no longer inhibit you from achieving your goals!
